Yoga Nidra Guided Meditation
Wednesdays, Jan 15- March25 2020, 4:15-5:15pm
Yoga Nidra is a guided meditation that enables one to find deep rest, a quiet mind, and an overall sense of calm and well being.
What is Yoga Nidra? This is such a big question, but also easily answered. Literally translated it is the Yoga of sleep. However, the object of the class is not to put you to sleep, rather to awaken a state of consciousness between waking and sleeping. In other words, relaxing into meditation. This is done by simply lying on your back in Savasana, fully supported, and being guided by the soothing words of the practitioner. This is a great way to melt away stress/anxiety, and restore body and mind. Yoga Nidra has been known to normalize sleep patterns, boost energy and focus during waking hours, and increase ones overall well being. To have the best practice, please wear loose, layered clothing and come with a relatively empty stomach.
