Satjeet Kaur has been practicing various forms of yoga since 1991, and she discovered the benefits of the science of Kundalini yoga in the year 2000 through the process of healing her own spinal injuries. Kundalini yoga, often referred to as the “yoga of awareness,” works on the energy of the spine. Each class includes a combination of pranayam (breath work), mantra (sound), mudra (hand position), asana (posture), and meditation. Most classes can be scaled from beginner to advanced, and no experience is required.
Satjeet graduated from Dartmouth College in 1990, and she completed the Yoga Alliance®–certified teacher training program for Kundalini Yoga as Taught by Yogi Bhajan® in 2007 at the Baba Siri Chand Ashram in Millis, Massachusetts.
