Linda found the discipline of yoga in 1980 and began teaching in the mid-coast community in 1992. She believes that when we slow down and move mindfully with attention to breath and body, we can awaken deeper levels of well-being. Integral to her teaching is using asana to help us reconnect with the simplicity and joy of movement. Linda has a Body-Centered Therapy private practice at her home in Union. Drawing from several traditions of therapy, Jin Shin Jyutsu, Process work, and Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy, her work is a blending to techniques which support structural alignment, vitality of breath, somato-emotional and energetic balance. More recently, she expanded her study of the transformative affects of bodywork and received certification as an Aquatic Integration Therapist at Lily Pond Aquatic Therapies in Rockport.

In May, 2008, Lucy went to Fiji to join a group of thirty Americans, who all received the transmission and training, which enabled them to give the Oneness Blessing, also called the Oneness Experience or Deeksha.
The Oneness Blessing is a transfer of energy, similar to Reiki. It takes only a couple of minutes and has a clear intention behind it; that is, to leave the receiver with a feeling of peace, a letting go of the internal commentary, prior conditioning and anxiety that plagues so many of us. It has lasting effects. The Oneness Experience does not adhere to any religion, particular belief or spiritual path. Please see www.onenessnorthamerica.org the Oneness Website, to learn more about the Oneness Blessing.
Lucy, who lives in Lincolnville, is a Licensed Massage Therapist, Reiki Practitioner, and, for the longest part of her working life, a Speech/Language Pathologist.
