Anna Witholt-Abaldo

Anna has been studying the 5Rhythms® with Gabrielle Roth and faculty for over 10 years, and became a certified 5Rhythms® teacher in 2001. Anna has taught classes and workshops in Europe, the Caribbean and New England since 1997. Her background in body-oriented psychology (MA) and Authentic Movement adds a sense of permission, groundedness and depth to her classes. In 2001, Anna founded her own studio for dance, movement and personal / spiritual development near Amsterdam. She directed the studio until 2004, when she moved to Maine following a vision of creating a place for this work amidst the beauty and stillness of nature.

As her teaching has ripened over the years, she continues to be fascinated by two realms in particular: working with partnering, and interpersonal relationships; and second, stimulating each individual to investigate their path, and supporting them in manifesting what deeply calls them in this moment.

When Anna is not teaching or dancing, she can usually be found chasing her two little children down a woods trail or up to her elbows in play dough. She also loves spending time with dear friends; taking in the beauty of Maine’s woods, hills, lakes and beaches; creating a warm and happy home with her beloved; and making art. – you can delete this highlighted part too if it’s too long; otherwise it can be kept. Anna is a professional member of the 5Rhythms® Teachers Association and the American Dance Therapy Association.

Brigitte Ziebell

I studied from 1994 to 1997 and completed my certification in New York City. I became the director and teacher of the first Pilates studio to open in Maine. From 2001 – 2011, I taught in my studio in Georgetown, DC, until returning to Maine. In addition to fifteen years of teaching Pilates to a broad and diverse client base, I have continued studies within the Pilates community and in related fields such as Feldenkrais, Somatics, Franklin Method, and neuromuscular research.

With this background, I have a heightened understanding of the simple beauty, complex elegance, true effectiveness, and grace of the Pilates Method. My passion for learning and teaching Pilates seems to grow with every person who walks through the door ready to get to work and have fun on their way to a strong, balanced, thinking body.

Colleen Duggan

Colleen is a certified Iyengar teacher who has been studying yoga since the early 1990’s throughout Asia, Europe and U.S. She has been teaching locally in Camden and Islesboro since relocating here in 2001 to start a family.  Colleen is dedicated to the Iyengar method of yoga which focuses on alignment and precision in the poses.  She became fully certified as an Iyengar teacher in 2010, a process that took over 6 years.   The Iyengar certification is rare among yoga teachers as the training and testing is so rigorous and demanding, taking many years to complete.  Part of the Iyengar method is that all teachers continue as life long learners on the yoga path studying under more senior instructors, always deepening their understanding of yoga.  As well as traveling to attend yoga workshops and trainings throughout the year, Colleen commutes regularly to Cambridge Massachusetts to study with her mentor, Patricia Walden.  She also travels every other year to Pune, India to study directly with the Iyengar family for one or two months. www.camdenmaineyoga.com
